Following instructions by the HSE and Kerry County Council the Aqua Dome will be closed with immediate effect from tonight Friday the 13th of March until further notice. This closure is been made in order to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus and management and staff regret any inconvenience caused.
We will continue to monitor the situation so keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for updates.
All memberships will be extended for the duration of closure.
People are urged to practice social distancing and to minimise physical contact with each other to help avoid the spread of this virus.
People are worried, even frightened and that is normal. However, this is a time for action rather than panic. This virus thrives on contact so we must limit our contact and observe the advice on hygiene.
The best advice is to minimise social contact, avoid meeting up and keep physical space between each other. A low number of social interactions will translate to a lower transmission rate. The higher it gets, the higher the risk of transmission.
Do
- Wash your hands properly and often.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve when you cough and sneeze.
- Put used tissues into a bin and wash your hands.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Avoid close contact with people – keep a distance of 2 metres (6.5 feet) between you and others.
- Avoid crowded places, especially indoors.
- Follow the travel advice from the Department of Foreign Affairs.
- Stay at home if you are sick to help stop the spread of whatever infection you may have.
Don’t
- Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
- Do not share objects that touch your mouth – for example, bottles, cups.
- Do not shake hands.
Wash your hands properly and often!
Thank you for your understanding and we hope you all stay virus free.
