Management and staff in the Aqua Dome wish to inform all their customers and members that it will close for Seven Weeks to facilitate essential works and plant replacement commencing Monday the 11th of November.
The water filtration systems and the air handling will be replaced at a cost of approximately €850,000 as they are coming to the end of their lifespan.
As the Aqua Dome is now entering its 31st year of operation and some of the plant equipment – the water filtration systems and the air handling needs to be replaced. We have decided to undertake the essential work now as it is the quietest time of the year for business. Members of the Aqua Dome will not lose out due to the closure as seven weeks will be added on to their membership.
The work is expected to take around seven weeks and which means we are planning to re-open to the public on December 28th in time for the post-Christmas and New Year holiday period.
The Aqua Dome is hoping to secure grant support for this work which, while necessary, is very expensive.
This maintenance is very important as the Aqua Dome contributes to the Tralee and Kerry tourism infrastructure and attracts around 170,000 visits each year.
Management and staff would like to thank all their customers and members for their support and understanding and we look forward to welcoming you back on the 28th of December.
