The Aqua Dome invites Ryan Tubridy to broadcast his RTE radio 1 show from the beautiful coastal town of Tralee on the Wild Atlantic Way this August. Tralee, the capital town of Kerry, is a beautiful vibrant town magnificently situated at the mouth of Tralee Bay on the Wild Atlantic Way and at the foot of the impressive Slieve Mish Mountains. Tralee is the ideal place to experience the stunning natural surroundings of Tralee Bay surrounded by stunning beaches, rugged mountains & nature trails. A warm genuine welcome awaits you along with great local hospitality. There is magnificent scenery, diverse indoor and outdoor activities, fine beaches and wonderful night entertainment …something for everyone to enjoy!
Tralee has a fantastic variety of premier attractions and activities available and there is something to suit everyone’s budget & taste! Learn about local history at Kerry County Museum, enjoy a unique experience at Ireland's largest working Windmill and Model Railway at Blennerville Windmill Centre, take a safari boat ride and learn about local wildlife at Tralee Bay Wetlands or simply enjoy leisurely walks and cycles on the stunning canal which stretches from Tralee town to Tralee Bay. For those feeling adventurous there are many options to choose from: Explore the underground passages of Crag Caves, swing a club & hit a few balls at The Golf Doc, go coasteering & kayaking with Wild Water Adventures, canoeing, power boating, water slides and trampolines with Splash Sports, kite surfing and surfing with Kingdom Waves, horse riding with Tralee Equestrian Centre, swimming with Swim the Kingdom, sailing with Tralee Bay Maritime Centre and walking on water with Step into Liquid.
For an indoor experience there are many activities to whet your appetite: enjoy splashing fun in the Aqua Dome one of Irelands Largest Indoor Waterworlds, experience the thrill of Kerry’s only indoor Bowling and Skywalker at Bowling Buddies or super kiddies fun in the popular soft play adventure facility The Playdium. For an evening of culture, entertainment and live performances you can take in a show or workshop in Irelands National Folk Theatre, Siamsa Tire. If you want to experience a thrilling occasion that is uniquely Irish then a night at the dogs is an essential part of your visit to Tralee at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium.
To help make Tralee a more sustainable town, the Aqua Dome along with other businesses, locals & voluntary groups are striving to make positive environmental improvements to reduce the carbon footprint, reduce plastic consumption, reduce waste, minimise water wastage and protect the environment. If Tralee was chosen as a town for Ryan Tubridy to broadcast from in August then this would be a fantastic opportunity to showcase all the positive environmental improvements we are making as a town in an effort to encourage and inspire other businesses and towns all along the Wild Atlantic Way to do the same!
